Embark on an unforgettable 4-day trek to Point John via the scenic Naromoru Route. This climb offers breathtaking alpine landscapes, expert guidance, and comfortable mountain huts for a safe and memorable Mt Kenya experience.
Itinerary

Day 1 – Nairobi to Naromoru Gate, Trek to Met Station

Depart Nairobi early morning and drive to Naromoru Gate (2,150 m).
Trek through forest and moorland to Met Station (3,150 m) – approximately 11 km, 4–5 hours.
Overnight at Met Station Hut.

Day 2 – Met Station to Machinders Hut

Trek through alpine meadows and rocky ridges to Machinders Hut (4,300 m) – approximately 8 km, 5–6 hours.
Overnight at Machinders Hut, preparing for the summit climb.

Day 3 – Summit Point John and Return to Machinders Hut

Begin early morning ascent to Point John (4,883 m).
Enjoy spectacular panoramic views of glaciers, peaks, and valleys.
Descend back to Machinders Hut – total trekking distance ~8 km,  hours including ascent and descent.
Overnight at Machinders Hut.

Day 4 – Exit to Naromoru Gate and Return to Nairobi

Trek down from Machinders Hut to Naromoru Gate – approximately 12 km, 4–5 hours.
Drive back to Nairobi, concluding your adventure.
