Overview
This 4-day Samburu safari offers an adventurous camping experience inside Samburu National Reserve combined with authentic cultural interactions and a touch of luxury on the final night at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge. Guests enjoy fully guided game drives, freshly prepared meals by a professional safari chef, and seamless transport in a 4×4 safari vehicle.
Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve (Camping)
Depart Nairobi early in the morning in a comfortable 4×4 safari vehicle, driving north through Kenya’s central highlands with scenic views of Mount Kenya and a stop at the Equator.
Arrive in Samburu National Reserve and proceed to the campsite inside the park. Upon arrival, meet our safari team and chef, who will prepare a freshly cooked lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in Samburu National Reserve, home to elephants, lions, leopards, and the rare Samburu Special Five.
Dinner is freshly prepared at the campsite by our chef.
Overnight at a fully serviced campsite inside Samburu National Reserve.
Day 2: Full Day in Samburu National Reserve (Camping)
After an early breakfast at the campsite, head out for a morning game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro River. Return to camp for lunch and relaxation during the hotter hours of the day.
In the late afternoon, enjoy another guided game drive as wildlife becomes active again.
In the evening, gather around the campsite for dinner prepared by our chef under the African sky.

Day 3: Samburu Cultural Experience – Sarova Shaba Game Lodge
After breakfast, break camp and visit a traditional Samburu village for an authentic cultural experience. Interact with the Samburu people and learn about their nomadic lifestyle, traditions, dances, beadwork, and daily life.
After the cultural visit, proceed to Sarova Shaba Game Lodge for lunch and relaxation. Enjoy the lodge’s facilities and beautiful natural surroundings.
Dinner and overnight at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge, offering comfort and luxury after the camping adventure.
Day 4: Samburu – Nairobi
After breakfast at the lodge, check out and begin the drive back to Nairobi in your 4×4 safari vehicle. Enjoy scenic views and short stops along the way.
Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, marking the end of your Samburu safari experience.
